He's made a few comments to the media that have gone over like a lead balloon. Probably a case of things being taken a bit far, but that's life as an athlete. There's a reason why most give boring interviews.
The biggest issue is his play. He had a great rookie season but has regressed more every year since. Doesn't play defense and doesn't put up points to offset it. He probably needs to rethink his game if he wants to stay in the league. If not for being a first rounder he's 1-2 years away from playing in Europe.

Minus- Oel's -36 is team worst and also league worst, Your mentioning Chara is interesting because he has the league best +/- for defensemen. What is also interesting is your past habits of using +/- when it supports your argument. But back to OEL, Yours excuses do not work because Goligoski has a way better +/-, has the same point total as OEL and plays more minutes(5v5), He also has a harder "D" zone % then OEL!. OEL should win the Norris because he is +4.9% RELATIVE TO HIS TEAM! But wait, didn't he already say that his team is poop. What exactly does +4.9% corsi relative to a garbage team mean? On it's own, absolutely nothing.
